Watering Can

My first 3D Piece
One of a kind! I bought the can in Kansas at an antique store. It sat on my porch for several years waiting to be embellished into the beautiful eye-catcher it is now. I wanted to try mosaic something 3-D, it took a while because I would have to create it in sections to let it dry while laying level.
The antique watering can has a large wristwatch face and pink rose on the top. The pink rose is from an ugly Italian ashtray I found, the rose was the keeper so I busted it up and saved it to place one day in a piece to grab one’s attention. I usually take home anything that says Italy on it. Italy is my favorite place in all my travels!
There are several foreign coins also incorporated on the piece. I was a travel agent for many years and collected the coins over the years. Contact me and I’ll let you know where they are from. Worked into it are broken pieces of plates, light blue yellow and white with floral patterns. I am a junk shopper and have found the plates along my way around the country. I have found things that mean something to me or just say “take me home” to use in my work. My friends tell me that I see things in junk or trash that they would never think to use. The larger round colored glass pieces are from a New Orleans floral shop that no longer exists.
