Fleur de Lis

Fleur de Lis Tray
The fleur de lis teak tray was a gift for my cousin’s daughter and her husband for their wedding in New Orleans. The tray is 20 inches long and 15 inches wide. It is gray and black with dark brown grout. The tray was a flea market find. The frame is raised with open spaces creating the handles. This was my first time to work in such small detail. I also got a commission from one of the wedding guests and created the mirrored fleur de lis pictured below.

Fleur de Lis Mirror
My New Orleans buddy wanted something to remind him of home. He asked for the mirror to be made using Mardi Gras colors. I made it on particle board and used wood molding to frame the edge of the wood. The 20 X 30 piece hangs in his Arlington, Virginia home.
